What is Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
Emotional freedom technique can be likened to needle-free psychological acupuncture. EFT runs on the premise that all negative emotions are a result of a disruption in the body’s energy system. The energy system being the imaginary meridians that run through the body most commonly referred to by Eastern Medicine for the use of acupuncture or acupressure. By tapping on numerous pressure points associated with these meridians on the body and focusing on a negative emotion the emotion is effectively released, usually within just a few moments.
EFT is incredibly powerful and simple. You can apply it to yourself and I recommend that you use this tool daily to release any negative emotions.
EFT is also incredibly powerful for physical pain, often times on pain that has not been helped by any other method including medication. My clients have experienced immediate relief by focusing on the physical pain, but many have experienced long term relief by releasing the negative emotions associated with the pain as well. It’s up to you how deeply you want to heal.
However, I do recommend finding a practitioner to help guide you in releasing painful traumas and grief and changing your belief systems.
